The Making of Lilygun's 2nd Album - Part 3

During the month of March and April, Lilygun recorded guitars on our second album. Its been said of Lilygun in the past that we incorporate the three G's - Goth, Glam and Grunge! This has been a pretty good description of us in the past. But this new album seems to have taken on another aspect of sound that we have not had before. Although guitars are still a heavy feature in the new songs, we've branched out into a more experimental field in terms of our sound. That's all I'm going to say for now... ;-)
Here are some photographs of the players recording lead guitar parts in the new songs.

The Business Show 2016

Every year Music Audio Stories gets an invite to The Business Show and this year, the event was held at ExCel London. It's the UK's biggest business show with 25,000 visiting businesses, 350 exhibitors, 250 free seminars and Masterclasses.

The Business Show is where businesses find the next gear. It's a free business exhibition to attend and offers a wealth of opportunity, advice and information crucial for ongoing business growth within a challenging economy. The event welcomes businesses from a cross-section of industries, and remains more committed than ever in providing everything needed to improve, evolve and expand businesses.

I was a bit more organised this year than last year in terms of planning which seminars to go to. In Fact, I'd made rather a large list of back to back seminars and Master Classes I thought would be useful. I particularly enjoyed '5 Easy Steps to Better Digital Marketing', 'Sell More... Sell Better' by author and coach Paul Wearmouth and Shaa Wasmund's seminar which was inspiring with some very good tips. I also enjoyed the talk by 'Master of Networking' Warren Cass on how to network successfully. He was great and made me laugh a few times with his insights and experiences. As always, I took notes and learnt new tips and tricks and left feeling energised.

If you're a business owner and you haven't been to this event before, I highly recommend that you go next year!

Bringing my Story Time to London Libraries

FREE STORY TIME SPECIAL - At London Libraries this coming Half Term!

Soooooooooooo excited!
This is happening during this coming half term holiday - Story Time with the children at various London Libraries with ME!

Over 10% of UK libraries are currently under threat. Library closures and cutbacks are a serious problem. More than 400 libraries have closed in Britain in the last five years due to budget cuts, technology and the internet age. Due to this, I have decided I want to give back to the community and help to save our libraries. I will be dedicating my time to this cause over this coming Half Term holiday!

My unique 'Story Time’ is a mix of listening, drawing and drama. It covers a number of skills e.g: social interaction, developing self-confidence and encourages children to use their own imagination. They are fun, engaging, interactive, creative and educational. My Story Time compliments Key Stage 1 and areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage and has been a massive success at schools and nurseries in London.

Your children will:
  1. Listen to a musical story and be encouraged to use their listening abilities and their imagination.
  2. Make their own drawing of the story which will be published in a gallery on the Music Audio Stories website making them part of our creative world.
  3. Take part in the story, which I won't tell you about here because it's a bit of a surprise! However I can tell you that this story also features a catchy song. Your children will love singing along.
Your child will learn an excellent lesson which is taught in such a fun and simple way that they won’t even realize they are learning a lesson!

Plus meet me and the creators of Music Audio Stories! ;-)

I'll be doing our story Litter Bugs and I can't wait! Come along with your children and join in the fun, you'll love it!

I'm very excited about this and I urge everyone to support their local library. They are important places for us and our children.
